Pam developed a niche in the alternative finance industry and became a speaker at the annual Community Financial Services Association of America (CFSA) conference. She was involved with start-up companies in the payday advance industry, one of which grew to over 500 locations before the sale of the company to a publicly held company that has become one of the largest providers of cash advance services in the United States. In addition, she was involved in developing the reporting standards associated with this industry and has prepared information for initial public offerings.
In addition, Pam’s knowledge and experience with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is an important step in helping US businesses implement the impending convergence of IFRS for US companies. The conversion to IFRS will require 1) Education on the topic, 2) Adoption of a methodology and time line, 3) Assistance from non-financial departments and 4) Potentially significant costs.
Pam is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, and a number of other professional and civic associations.
